Fright-tober Films Are Back!

Fright-tober 2025 Free Film Series at the Crosstown Theater

We’re bringing back a spooky season favorite! Our Fright-tober film series showcases movies to get you in the Halloween mood, and they’re all free! Every Tuesday in October we will be showing a different film in the Crosstown Arts Theater. With popcorn, candy, and more, it’s a fun night for every girl and ghoul!

Doors open at 6:30 and the show begins at 7:00pm.

October 7 – Hereditary

A grieving family is haunted by tragic and deeply disturbing occurrences in Ari Aster’s modern horror masterpiece Hereditary (2018). When the matriarch of the Graham family passes away, her daughter and grandchildren begin to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry, trying to outrun the sinister fate they have inherited. – Rated R

October 14 – The Ancestral

Experience The Ancestral, a Vietnamese supernatural thriller where grief, memory, and folklore collide. After moving into a secluded home, a family begins to encounter unsettling events that blur the line between the living and the unseen. Expect mood, mystery, and a steady rise in dread-not just jump scares. Part of Mid-Autumn Season at Crosstown Concourse, this film is presented in Vietnamese with English subtitles. – Not rated

October 21 – Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride

This family-favorite film transports you to the whimsical world of Tim Burton with a spooky twist! Corpse Bride is a stop-motion animated gothic romance that follows Victor, a shy young man who accidentally proposes to a deceased bride while practicing his wedding vows. Swept into the underworld, he must navigate the world of the dead, torn between duty, love, and the choices of the living and the departed. – Rated PG

October 28 – The Exorcist

The Exorcist (1973) is a landmark horror film about a young girl possessed by a mysterious and terrifying demon. As her condition worsens, her desperate mother seeks help from two priests—one battling his own doubts and the other experienced in the ancient rite of exorcism.
