Crosstown Concourse is raising a glass to one of our own—Crosstown Brewing Company, recently named Small Business of the Year in the small business category by the Memphis Business Journal. This recognition celebrates not only their craft and creativity but also their unwavering commitment to community and innovation.

Since opening in early 2018, founders Clark Orktiese and Will Goodwin have grown Crosstown Brewing from a passion project into a thriving local business that many now consider a top contender for the best Memphis brewery. Inspired by the revitalization of the historic Sears Crosstown building, the founders saw an opportunity to build something that brought people together—and they delivered.

Starting with local distribution, Crosstown Brewing expanded across Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas—even amid the challenges of the pandemic. Post-COVID, they reimagined what a brewery could be, adding a kitchen, a full cocktail menu, and a lineup of community-driven events. Today, their taproom is a dynamic gathering space featuring live music, trivia nights, and local collaborations.

Never content to stand still, the brewery recently introduced Orbit, their THC-infused seltzer—one of the first of its kind in the region—showcasing their knack for staying ahead of the curve in a fast-changing market.
