Jay McK is an artist, composer, producer, and professional bassist, known for his funky bass lines, an array of sounds, solos, and melodic melodies.Covering the globe, Jay McK has shared the stage with and soundtracked for LiV Warfield, Ghost Note, RC and The Gritz, Chris Dave and the DrumHedz, Bobby Sparks, Shaun Martin, American Idol winner Ruben Studdard, and many more.
Jay is a melodic, grooving, and funky bassist that focuses on making songs, tunes, and concerts feel good within any band’s vibe. His musical prowess has often culminated in him being called upon to serve as musical director. His sound and style can move seamlessly from solid bass grooves to show-stopping solos.
As an artist, Jay strives to write songs with great vibes, encouragement, and an uplifting message that every life can understand. Jay‘s goal is to spread love, create a dancing atmosphere, encourage spiritual movements, and influence an incredible experience through music.
Jay McK is now introducing himself as a solo artist with a series of four EP releases, featuring artists he has collaborated with for years including contemporaries such as drummer/producer, Blaque Dynamite, and fellow bassist, MonoNeon. “Work On Me” and “Dirty Mama” are out now on all streaming platforms.
