Crosstown Concourse has been making communities since 1927 – The Daily Memphian

Since Crosstown Concourse had its grand reopening in 2017, decades of employees who worked in the old “Sears Crosstown” building have returned to check out the massive renovation.

One group has stayed in touch by meeting regularly over the many years since they worked for Sears. The luncheons happen at various locations throughout the city, but the group makes an effort to reunite at the former Sears Crosstown building at least once per year, where they discuss their time working for the once-bustling retailer.

Former Sears Crosstown employee Frank Navarra, who helps organize the group, began work as an order filler in 1966 and was an assistant manager when he left the company in 1982.
