Come enjoy “The Amazing Adventures of LadyBug Lady and Beetle Boy,” an original children’s story featuring audience participation and musical accompaniment by members of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra.

Created by MSO principal oboist Joseph Salvalaggio, Babu Press performances use classical music to help kids develop an appreciation for the arts and foster a love of reading. The performances are entertaining for audiences of all ages, from toddlers to adults.

This performance features MSO musicians Rena Feller (clarinet), Michael Scott (bassoon), and Joseph Salvalaggio (oboe) and narrated by Todd Berry.

One fateful day at the science museum, a freak accident turns Luella and Leonard into superheroes and not a minute too soon. The evil super villain, the Bothersome Bookworm is on the rampage and only LadyBugLady and Beetle Boy can stop her! Full of fun insect facts, this interactive concert-story is set to music by Ponchielli, Mussorgksy, Grieg, and Rimsky Korsakov’s The Flight of the Bumblebee, along with original music by oboist Joey Salvalaggio.
