Through the end of October, Crosstown Concourse is hosting a donation drive to support immigrant families in our community, in partnership with Global Café. Everyday items can make a meaningful difference for neighbors who need them most.
Leading this effort alongside Crosstown Concourse is Global Café, a women-owned social enterprise right here in the building that serves authentic dishes from around the world while creating meaningful employment for immigrants and refugees. Every meal they serve helps provide more than a paycheck, it helps create stability, confidence, community, and a chance to build a new life.
Global Café’s mission extends well beyond the dining room. Through employment, mentorship, and a supportive workplace, the team helps people gain experience, build skills, improve their English, and move toward long-term economic independence. They also invest in the broader community through Second Chance Kitchen, providing meals to organizations serving unhoused neighbors, and by partnering with nonprofits, schools, and community organizations across Memphis.
The drive is collecting a wide range of essentials, including:
Donations can be dropped off anytime through the end of October at the collection area in the Central Atrium. There’s no need to schedule a visit or coordinate ahead of time, just bring what you can and leave it in the donation bin by the Central Atrium stairs.

Crosstown Concourse and Global Café share the belief that community is something you build together, not something that happens on its own.
Every item donated, no matter how small, adds up. A few cans of food, a bar of soap, a pair of shoes, these things matter more than they might seem to on their own. Together, they become real support for families working to build a life here in Memphis.
If you’re able to contribute, consider gathering a few items from your pantry, your closet, or your next grocery run and dropping them off in the Central Atrium. The drive runs through the end of October, so there’s still time to pitch in, but don’t wait too long. No amount is too small, and every contribution helps strengthen the community we all share.
