She has won multiple awards and had her work featured in HBO\, Netflix\, and award-winning independent films. She’s shared the stage with various critically-acclaimed artists and songwriters\, including Lucinda Williams\, Jessi Colter\, Tab Benoit\, The War and Treaty\, and more. \nOne of Teneia’s most prominent pieces\, “Stand\,” earned a placement in the HBO documentary\, “Prom Night in Mississippi.” “Stand” embodies Teneia’s ability as an artist to address deeply rooted social issues fearlessly and confidently. Her true talent however\, is how she connects with each audience\, leaving their minds filled with reflection and their hearts filled with hope.

The album showcases his tasteful instrumental arrangements of a selection of classic compositions from the songbook of the great Stevie Wonder.\n\nJames Austin Jr is an accomplished jazz pianist and bandleader who hails from Chicago\, IL. He has honed his craft under the tutelage of a number of legendary jazz musicians including extensive study with Barry Harris\, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest jazz educators of all time. James’ musical achievements include being honored as a featured performer and semifinalist in the prestigious Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition. James also leads the Barry Harris Institute of Jazz and has formed “Luminescence” an ensemble of young jazz lions assembled to celebrate his teacher’s musical legacy.\n\nCome listen to Stevie Wonder by the lenses of James Austin\, alongside with standards and classic jazz repertoire!

As a jazz artist\, Alex has performed and recorded with nationally recognized artists including Rachel Therrien\, Rahsaan Barber\, Stephen Anderson\, Jim Ketch\, and more. In 2022\, Alex was awarded first prize at the prestigious North American Saxophone Alliance’s National Jazz Artist Competition. They have performed as a soloist at esteemed events such as the JEN Conference\, North American Saxophone Alliance\, and the John Coltrane Jazz Festival\, and have recorded on the Summit Records label as a member of the 360 Jazz Initiative Ensemble. Their work as a performer and composer can be heard most recently on their debut album release “Portraits of a Silent Moment”.
