SUMMARY:Kid Maestro ft. Bartholomew Jones: Ideas Are Seeds
DESCRIPTION:Kid Maestro ft. Bartholomew Jones: Ideas Are Seeds\nTHE GREEN ROOM AT CROSSTOWN ARTS\nSATURDAY\, JULY 25TH\, 2026\nDOORS OPEN AT 7:00 PM | SHOW STARTS AT 7:30 PM\n$20 IN ADVANCE (PLUS FEES) | $30 AT THE DOOR\nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE\n\nThe role IDEAS have played in Kid Maestro’s life and career have been divinely profound. However\, as of late\, he’s had to question the existence of the pillars that have existed in his life without him being consciously aware of how they got in his life in the first place. The IDEA can spawn the greatest change to an environment\, and ecosystem\, a family\, or a single life dramatically; just like a seed. So maybe in borrowing the language from and studying the world of seeds\, we can unlock the mysteries of the nature and purpose of IDEAS. \n\nKid Maestro is a Memphis-based producer and performer who uses music as a vehicle for vulnerability\, growth\, and deep human connection. Drawing from experimental hip-hop\, soul\, and cinematic textures\, his performances are rooted in a relentless commitment to pushing past fear\, doubt\, and perfectionism to bring an idea fully to life.\n\nBartholomew Jones is a Memphis emcee and culture maker working at the leading edge of Southern Futurism — a vision of Black Southern identity rooted in the conviction that God don’t make no junk. He treats hip hop as an agricultural product — something grown\, harvested\, and rooted in soil — a thesis that binds his music to the all-Black coffee supply chain he’s built through Cxffeeblack. His sound moves through blues\, jazz\, boom bap\, and electronica\, and his breakout “Coffee Black” — “no sugar\, no cream\, please\, don’t cover my dreams” — turned a hook into a movement\, a documentary\, a TEDx\, and over a million streams. His latest project\, Cxffee Makes You Black\, is the fullest distillation yet. Along the way\, the NBA and HBO have tapped him for projects\, 8Ball signed on as collaborator and investor\, and he’s shared rooms with artists like Propaganda — with VICE\, NPR\, Black Enterprise\, and Memphis Magazine on the record. He currently serves as Artist in Residence on the faculty at Vanderbilt University\, and is now building his next full-length project in Memphis’ Idea District in collaboration with Unapologetic and Cxffeeblack. Memphis raised him. He’s raising it back.

SUMMARY:Healing Breathwork Meditation
DESCRIPTION:THE GREEN ROOM AT CROSSTOWN ARTS\nSUNDAY\, JULY 26TH\, 2026\nDOORS OPEN AT 5:30 PM | SHOW STARTS AT 6:00 PM\n$15 IN ADVANCE (PLUS FEES) | $25 AT THE DOOR\nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE\n\n\nHealing breathwork meditation is a gentle approach to creating space around emotional blocks stored in the body using the breath. This practice is easy enough for beginners and a great add-on for those who have yoga\, meditation\, bodywork\, and healing practices. Elements of sound healing will also be included to relax the nervous system on a cellular level. The workshop begins with a brief check-in\, a movement practice\, then breathwork while lying on the back. Please bring a blanket\, a yoga mat\, and an eye covering (a hand towel works well). \n\n\n\nRobin Bruce teaches healing breathwork and meditation as an extension of her multidisciplinary arts practice. Her foray into the healing arts began as a yoga teacher and bloomed into the healing arts after studying healing breathwork with David Elliott in 2016. Since then\, she’s become a 200hr ERYT\, with over a thousand hours of yoga teaching experience and a mantra recording artist under the name Dharampal. She’s also earned an MA in religious studies with a focus on ritual and spiritual practices to fortify political movements. She completed her MFA in creative writing and translation at the University of Arkansas in 2025 and currently lives in Fayetteville where she works as a bookseller. She views healing work as personal and communal and breathwork as a vehicle to grieve together and collectively dream new futures.

SUMMARY:Four on the Floor ft. Cyrena Wages\, Granville Automatic\, Erin Webb\, and Caleb Eliott
DESCRIPTION:Four on the Floor ft. Cyrena Wages\, Granville Automatic\, Erin Webb\, and Caleb Eliott\nThe Green Room at Crosstown Arts\nSaturday\, August 1st\, 2026\nDoors open at 7:00 pm | Show starts at 7:30 pm\n$25 in advance (plus fees) | $35 at the door\nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE\nMemphis’ take on the classic Bluebird Cafe format: a stripped-back evening of songs and storytelling featuring four artists in the round — both hometown favorites and visiting voices. Hosted by Cyrena Wages with special guest appearances. \n\nCyrena Wages fell in love with music on the country backroads between Millington and Shelby Forest\, two small towns just north of Memphis. Her father\, the hometown judge\, drove her to school every day in a 1967 gold Cadillac with the license plate “ROBN HD” on the back\, an homage to the underdog ideology\, and a conceptual through line of her debut 2024 album\, Vanity Project. Wages tapped producer Matt Ross-Spang (Margo Price\, St. Paul & the Broken Bones) to helm Vanity Project\, a heavy hearted country soul meets indie pop confessional\, at his Southern Grooves Studio in Memphis. Upon it’s release\, Cyrena toured in support of artists like Lilly Winwood\, Hailey Whitters\, Maggie Rose\, Lucero\, and Chaparelle\, and debuted in spaces like the Troubadour\, The Bluebird Cafe\, SXSW\, and Americana Fest. \n\n\nBorn and raised in Natchitoches\, Louisiana\, Caleb Elliott is far from your typical preacher’s son-turned-musician. With his father a pastor and his mother the church pianist\, Elliott was immersed in traditional hymns from an early age\, but it was his love for classical cello that would eventually jumpstart his musical career. As a session musician\, Elliott began lending cello to all kinds of albums in the Lafayette music scene\, culminating in a moment that would change his trajectory and finally move him out of Louisiana. In 2014\, singer-songwriter Dylan LeBlanc met Elliott and encouraged him to relocate to Muscle Shoals\, Alabama\, where he still resides today. Once settled in the Shoals\, Elliott became the go-to cellist for an elite collective of collaborators such as Nicole Atkins\, John Paul White\, members of Alabama Shakes\, Maggie Rose\, and Cedric Burnside\, whose 2021 record I Be Trying won a Grammy for Best Traditional Blues Album. \nAs a singer-songwriter\, Elliott released his debut record Forever to Fade in 2019\, followed by Weed\, Wine & Time in 2023 (both via Single Lock Records). He has opened for a variety of artists such as Alabama Shakes\, Gaz Coombes (Supergrass)\, Sean McConnell\, Penny and Sparrow\, The White Buffalo\, Fruition\, and The Secret Sisters (who are featured on his recent single). In 2025\, he followed up Weed\, Wine & Time with two new singles\, “I Don’t Believe You” and “Slow Burn\,” in which sonic influences like Harry Nilsson and Louisiana’s own Bobby Charles can be heard woven throughout Elliott’s melodies and arrangements. This year\, Elliott continues releasing singles with his new song\, “Dead Ringer\,” featuring Andy Baxter of Penny and Sparrow.

A graduate of the University of Memphis\, Harris became the school’s first jazz guitar instructor and has since built a dynamic career as a performer\, arranger\, recording engineer\, and mentor.\nHe has toured internationally\, recorded string arrangements\, and shared the stage with artists from Paris to Morocco. Locally\, he’s the founder of World Soul Project\, teaches music in Memphis schools\, and plays regularly with the Memphis Groovetet on Beale Street.\nABOUT PAT MARTINO\nPat began playing professionally in 1961. He performed with a wide variety of artists including Sonny Stitt\, Gene Ammons\, Richard Groove Holmes\, John Handy\, Bobby Hutcherson\, Chick Corea\, Jack McDuff\, Don Patterson\, Stanley Clark\, Eric Kloss\, Trudy Pitts\, Willis Jackson\, Lloyd Price\, Woody Herman\, Chuck Israels\, Charles Earland\, Barry Miles and Joe Pesci. Starting in 1967\, Pat was touring as a leader.\nHe was a Recording Artist for Vanguard\, Prestige\, Warner Brothers\, Muse\, Columbia\, King\, Paddlewheel\, Evidence\, Sony\, 32 Jazz\, High Note\, Milestone\, Polydor\, Concord\, Fantasy\, House of Blues\, Mythos\, Mainstream\, Cobblestone\, Atlantic and\, most recently\, Blue Note Records.\nABOUT PAT METHENY\n\nPat Metheny was born in 1954 in Lee’s Summit\, Missouri. Both his parents and his brother played instruments\, so there was always music in his family setting. He started playing the trumpet at age 8\, and switched to the guitar at age 12. He cites the Beatles\, Miles Davis\, and Wes Montgomery as having the biggest impact on him as a musician. He became the youngest ever faculty member at the University of Miami at age 18\, and then the youngest ever faculty at Berklee College of Music at 19. It was also during his time at Berklee that Pat Metheny began a 3 year collaborative stint with vibraphonist Gary Burton. Pat Metheny’s style is a wide ranging and deep one. His influences come from all areas of music including classical guitar\, rock\, and folk music\, and he displays them all in whatever medium he chooses. Pat Metheny was an early adopter of the synthesizer\, using its sound to the benefit of his music and the music as a whole. He has recorded many albums seminal to jazz\, including Bright Size Life\, Kin\, Pat Metheny Group\, The Way Up\, and Beyond the Missouri Sky only to name a few. He has played with the likes of Jaco Pastorius\, Brad Mehldau\, Charlie Haden\, Lyle Mays\, Mark Egan\, Chris Potter\, John Scofield\, Michael Brecker\, Jack Dejohnette\, McCoy Tyner\, Bill Frisell\, and many others.

SUMMARY:The Band CAMINO Opens Satellite Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:Some stories are worth telling twice. That’s why we’re opening the doors of Satellite Music Hall not once\, but two nights in a row — and there’s no better band to make history with than Memphis’ own The Band CAMINO. \nBorn right here in the Bluff City\, The Band CAMINO built their sound on the stages\, streets\, and late-night energy of this town before taking it to the world. Jeffery Jordan\, Spencer Stewart\, and Garrison Burgess have since grown into one of modern rock’s most exciting live acts — earning hundreds of millions of streams\, selling out venues across North America\, Europe\, and beyond\, and delivering the kind of anthemic\, emotionally charged performances that leave crowds breathless and hoarse from singing along. \nTheir music blends glossy guitar hooks\, soaring synths\, and dual lead vocals into something that hits harder in a room full of people than almost anywhere else. Songs like Daphne Blue\, 1 Last Cigarette\, and Know It All aren’t just fan favorites — they’re collective experiences\, the kind you remember where you were when you heard them live for the first time. \nAnd now\, they’re coming home. \nOn September 4th and 5th\, 2026\, The Band CAMINO will become the first artists to ever perform at Satellite Music Hall — a brand-new\, state-of-the-art 1\,300-capacity venue right here at Crosstown Concourse. Named in tribute to Satellite Records\, the original name behind the legendary Stax Records\, this stage was built to honor Memphis’ musical past while amplifying its future. What better way to christen it than with a band that embodies exactly that spirit? \nTwo nights. One hometown. A stage built for this moment. \nDon’t miss your place in Memphis music history. Tickets on sale Friday\, May 8. \n  \nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE
