SUMMARY:Crosstown Arts Presents: Hannibal Buress
DESCRIPTION:Hannibal Buress\nThe Crosstown Arts Theater \nSunday\, October 4th\, 2026 \nDoors open at 6:30 PM | Show starts at 7:00 PM \nOrchestra Seating $42 in advance (plus fees) \nGeneral Admission $35 in advance (plus fees) \nTickets go on sale June 30th! \nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE \n\n\nComing to the Crosstown Theater stage is comedian Hannibal Buress! \n\n\n\nHannibal Buress is a powerhouse of comedy\, television\, and film. From writing for Saturday Night Live and 30 Rock to starring in blockbusters like Neighbors and Spider-Man\, Buress has spent over two decades cementing his status as an entertainment icon. Don’t miss a night of sharp wit and brilliant storytelling from one of the industry’s most versatile creators. \n\nAbout Hannibal \nFrom within the bustling heart of the Windy City\, a comedian named Hannibal Buress embarked upon his journey. The year was 2002\, the location\, the Big Muddy Room at Southern Illinois University. Guided by the wisdom of his friend Chidi and sharpened in the fires of Tony Trimm’s “Sunday School sessions\,” young Buress was prepared to take the comedy world by storm. \nIn 2006\, he emerged from the shadows\, performing at Montreal’s ‘Just for Laughs’ New Faces\, an event that led to his first international appearance on “Late Night with Jörgen Raymann” in Holland. From that moment\, he continued to grow\, creating a series of successful stand-up specials including “Animal Furnace\,” “Live From Chicago\,” “Hannibal Takes Edinburgh\,” “Comedy Camisado\,” and “Miami Nights”. \nFate intervened in 2009\, when a last-minute booking on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” led to a meeting with Seth Meyers. This encounter gave him the opportunity to write for the legendary show “Saturday Night Live.” It was there\, my young turtles\, where Buress had one sketch air – a moment he credits to the creativity of his cousin Percy. He cherishes the memory of watching Rihanna uttering his lines in the “Shy Ronnie” sketch. After a season there\, he moved to “30 Rock\,” filling the space left vacant by the departure of Donald Glover. \nIn the realm of film\, Buress has proven his versatility\, showcasing his talents in “Neighbors\,” “Neighbors 2\,” “Baywatch\,” “Daddy’s Home\,” “Spiderman: Homecoming\,” “Spiderman: Far From Home\,” and “Tag.” He also provided a memorable performance as Lincoln the dentist on “Broad City” and lent his voice to animations like “The Secret Life of Pets” and “The Angry Birds Movie.” \nFrom 2009 to 2017\, Buress held court at the “Comedy at the Knitting Factory\,” his charm and wit making an indelible mark on late-night television\, featuring on shows such as “David Letterman\,” “Conan\,” “Stephen Colbert\,” and “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.” \nIn 2022\, he underwent a transformation\, shedding his skin to become Eshu Tune in the world of music. His rhythmic anthems like “Veneers remix” with Danny Brown and Paul Wall\, the lively bowling song “1-3 Pocket\,” and the meticulously crafted “I Lift Weights” echo through the streets. This endeavor was made possible through collaborations with creative minds like Kiefer\, Tru\, Eshu Tune\, Wahsabi Papi\, Kenny Segal\, Eryn Allen Kane\, and Haile Supreme. Through these transformations\, Hannibal Buress remains a true warrior in the world of entertainment.

SUMMARY:Modest Mouse @ Satellite Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:Support from Caroline Rose\nHaving recently completed another successful run with Pixies and Cat Power\, Modest Mouse continues to prove themselves to be one of the most consistent live acts today. Modest Mouse released their highly anticipated new album\, The Golden Casket\, on June 25\, 2021 via Epic Records. The Golden Casket heralds another new chapter in the GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi platinum band’s unpredictable evolution. Produced with Dave Sardy and Jacknife Lee in Los Angeles and in Modest Mouse’s studio in Portland\, the album hovers in the liminal space between raw punk power and experimental studio science\, frontman Isaac Brock explores themes ranging from the degradation of our psychic landscapes and invisible technology\, to fatherhood. The twelve tracks behave like amorphous organisms\, undergoing dramatic mutations and mood swings that speak to the chronic tug-of-war between hope and despair that plays out in Brock’s head. \nTickets on sale now! \n  \nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE

SUMMARY:Mastodon @ Satellite Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:Support from Deafheaven and Alcest\nGRAMMY® Award-winning band Mastodon have steadily evolved into one of the most influential\, inimitable\, and iconic rock bands of the modern era. Since emerging in 2000\, the Atlanta quartet have defied both sonic and thematic boundaries with an uncategorizable\, undeniable\, and uncompromising vision unlike anything else in music. This vision manifested over the course of canonical albums such as Leviathan\, which landed on Rolling Stone’s coveted The 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time. Following the seminal Crack The Skye [named one of the best albums of 2009 by Time]\, they earned three consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 with The Hunter [2011]\, Once More ‘Round the Sun [2014]\, and Emperor of Sand [2017]. \nOut of six career nominations\, they received a GRAMMY® Award in the category of “Best Metal Performance” for “Sultan’s Curse.” They are the rare creative force whose music can be felt everywhere from Game of Thrones\, Adult Swim\, The History Channel\, and DC comics films to Coachella and Bonnaroo. The group reached another critical high watermark via their ninth full-length\, Hushed and Grim. Featuring the GRAMMY® Award-nominated “Pushing The Tides\,” it marked the band’s third straight #1 bow on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums Chart. Evolving as they usher rock into new realms\, they forever remain the same unpredictable trailblazing beast—Mastodon. \nTickets on sale now! \n  \nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE

SUMMARY:We Came As Romans @ Satellite Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:Support from Varials and Cane Hill\nWe Came As Romans continue to progress and evolve at lightspeed\, maintaining a place at the forefront of heavy music and culture. Never content to follow\, they seamlessly alchemize crushing groove-driven catharsis\, spacey electronics\, and arena-size singalongs into a sound that refuses to sit still\, naturally dipping in and out of metal\, alternative\, hardcore\, and rock naturally without breaking a sweat. \nSince emerging in 2005\, the Michigan quintet have pushed the envelope. Following To Plant A Seed [2009] and Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be [2011]\, Tracing Back Roots cracked the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 and catapulted to #1 on the Independent Albums Chart and Top Hard Rock Albums Chart in 2013. \nTwo years later\, We Came As Romans bowed at #11 on the Billboard 200\, while Alternative Press hailed Cold Like War as “a milestone for WCAR.” They sold out successive headline tours and shared stages with A Day To Remember\, Bring Me The Horizon\, I Prevail\, The Used\, Sleeping With Sirens\, Parkway Drive\, and more. Produced by Drew Fulk [Knocked Loose\, Lil Wayne\, Disturbed]\, 2022’s Darkbloom earned some of the highest praise of their career. Beyond applause from Loudwire\, Consequence\, and more\, KERRANG! rated it “4-out-of-5 stars\,” going on to praise the LP as “both a carrier for a knot of emotion\, and a tribute to their friend.” It yielded two of the most successful tracks of their career. “Black Hole” [with Caleb Shomo of BEARTOOTH] eclipsed 102 million-plus Spotify streams\, and “Daggers” [with Zero 9:36] generated north of 32 million Spotify streams. Moving forward yet again\, the band ignite another era with the 2025 single “BAD LUCK.” \nTickets on sale now! \n  \nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE

SUMMARY:Medium Build Presents: The King of Having Fun on Tour @ Satellite Music Hall
DESCRIPTION:Support from Eden Joel\nMedium Build’s Nick Carpenter never planned for a career as a singer-songwriter to take him to great heights. But when it did — an ascent made possible on the merits of his razor-sharp and fearlessly reflective tunes\, electrifying performances\, and acerbic\, hilarious wit — he certainly wasn’t prepared to end up so close to the edge. \nNow\, on the heels of his breakthrough 2024 album Country\, years of relentless touring under increasingly brighter lights and bigger stages\, and recovery from the subsequent fallout that often follows fame\, comes King of Having Fun\, Medium Build’s most cohesive\, extroverted\, and joyful record yet. An album made not in an isolated bedroom like much of his past work but live in a studio with his closest friends and collaborators\, it is fueled by a fresh rock-and-roll energy paired with the artist’s familiar lo-fi-meets-indie-and-country sound yet still driven by the biting\nlyrical insight and potent self-examination that has endeared Carpenter to throngs of fans worldwide. Sure to bring Medium Build to a whole new level of stardom through its sheer sonic power and songwriting prowess\, King of Having Fun is the sound of a fractured soul picking up the pieces out of the darkness of rock-bottom and rediscovering real love — for others\, for joy\, and for oneself. \nTickets on sale now! \n  \nPURCHASE TICKETS HERE
